Rusty's Holiday Rides

No Boring Bits - Social MTB cycling in HamiltonRustys Holiday Rides were a great way to finish the year with a good group of 18 adults and young ones meeting at Rotorua's famous Redwoods on the 30th of December for a day focused on the children (although a few of the grown ups got to shoot away and blast around a few extra trails).

Meeting at the Waipa Mill Road gate we started with a gentle warm up for the little ones along the "Ball and Chain" and then on to the always beautifully groomed "Yellow Brick Road".

At the end of "Yellow Brick Road" the groups split with the Rusty taking the children and a few parents on a gentle ride back to the carpark and the second group shot up to "Pondy" and then "Roller Coaster" and "Old Chevy" before emerging at the beginning of "Yellow Brick Road".

On to a luch break, a photo op for the kids, then up the road for a loop of "The Dipper" and "Mad if you Don't" for some of the older riders.

Following "The Dipper" back to the main carpark where the kids were pretty much spent and ready for the trip home which was punctuated only be a stop in Tirau for ice cream and coffee.
